ESSENTIAL OIL

Essential oil is a pure form of perfume i.e extracted from different parts of a tree i.e(flowers,roots,leaves,wood,bark etc).An essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from Plants.It is also known as volatile oil,ethereal oil etc.

An oil is "Essential"in the sense that it contains the "Essence Of"Plant`s Fragrance.(the characterstic fragrance from which plant it is derived).Essential oils are generally extracted by different methods like distillation,often by using steam,solvent extraction etc.They are used in perfumes, cosmetics, soaps and other products,for flavoring food and drink.and for adding scents to incense and household cleaning products.
